Donations For Rod's next Kona, Hawaii Iron Man Course Completion Goal... 'Journey of Inspiration'

Your donation will greatly assist Rod in acquiring the Specialized 'Tailored' Triathlon Equipment needed for him to achieve his goal of 'Inspiring Others' by completing the Kona, Hawaii IronMan course in 2025!

Rod is no stranger to over-coming hardships.

Since Rod's original state of being a temporary quadriplegic, caused by the Guillan Barre virus; a serious virus that deteriorates the Myelin Sheath in the back that protects the spine and spinal cord; he has endured a total of 23 surgeries and procedures. 

In 2014 alone, he had nine (9) surgeries within the short timespan of 9 months. These surgeries included: 

Dual hip replacements, dual knee scopes, one knee replacement, hiatal hernia repair and Nissen surgery; this as well as several other procedures which were necessary due to the severe damage caused to his body from the Guillan Barre virus.

In 2015, a tenth (10th) surgery was performed to install a spinal stimulator to help Rod manage the pain caused from the virus, leaving him with two deteriorated disks and a pinched sciatic nerve. If necessary, the stimulator will help Rod endure the grueling task of completing the 2022 IronMan course in Kona, Hawaii, a course that consists of swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles and running 26.2 miles.

Your donation will assist the Veteran's Dream Team Alliance in travel and lodging expenses, allowing the team to be side-by side Rod as they continue their mentoring and support of him in his incredible inspiring journey.

Rod Hutchins understands the need, value and greatness in  having correct mentorship and an on-going source of inspiration to realize ones dreams and goals. 

To assist Rod in turning his dream into reality and fulfill his goal of completing the full course in the 2024 Kona, Hawaii IronMan, Rod selected the members of what he affectionately calls his Veteran Dream Team Alliance. This is a collaborative team that will be side-by-side with Rod, mentoring him throughout his journey to successfully realize his dream and goal, 'Inspiring Others' worldwide at the 2025 IronMan Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii! 

Encompassed within Rod's Vision of crossing the finish line in 2025 Kona, Hawaii, is that Veteran's Dream Team Alliance members be with him, 'Heart-to-Heart' during the last mile or few feet of the course, and that they cross-over the finish line with him... 'Hand-in-Hand', achieving this truly incredible inspiration feat... a feat that began with a vision and a goal that Rod set for himself more than 25 years ago as he lay in a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, paralyzed from the neck down, (a temporary quadriplegic) on his near-death bed.
